About Every Student Every School (ESES)

The aim of ESES is to equip, empower, learn and discover. We hope you will find something beneficial that supports your teaching strategies and programming for your students with special needs in mainstream schools.

Special schools are recognised as centres of excellence in special education. At William Rose School, we continually improve our pedagogy through professional learning, collegiality, action research and creative problem-solving.

We also recognise that as a special school, we have the opportunity to be immersed in special education, providing continuous opportunities for professional development. Our colleagues in our neighbouring mainstream schools also deal with the challenges associated with providing quality educational programs to students with special needs, but in a context that is different to ours.

We seek to support our colleagues in mainstream schools in two specific focus areas:

  • Assistive or augmentative technology or software as a vehicle for students to access the curriculum
  • The provision of support and adjustments to learning programs to allow students with a communication delay or disability to achieve curriculum outcomes.

In this website, we cover a broad range of topics to offer assistance and advice. We are also open to your ideas, to continue to build upon this web-based resource. For professional learning, we provide information on where to access courses and agencies, as well as invite you to come to our school on a teacher exchange. This website also offers many ideas on behaviour support, adaptations for access the curriculum, and other practical ideas to engage your students with special needs.

We appreciate your feedback on our ESES website and can be contacted from our contact page.
